Enjoy a Life of Abundance

Every day from the moment we wake up to the moment we fall asleep, we make choices. Often times, those choices are the same day after day which is how habits are formed, consciously or unconsciously. Let's be honest, are you a positive thinker or as a friend of mine says, are you a stinkin' thinker? Negative thoughts lead to more negative thinking and those become habits - not the easiest way to live your best life. What if we start small by acknowledging what quality thoughts play in our mind throughout the day and if they create a sense of well being and abundance or if they create a sense of sadness, anxiety or scarcity. Abundance isn't just about wealth, it's a mindset. It's about seeing the beauty in little things like a warm espresso, the waves and different shades of blue in the ocean, a good conversation, laughter or the warmth of sun on your skin.
We are often told we need more, more success, more stuff, more status. But what if we flipped the script? Instead of focusing on what's missing, let's appreciate what's already here. True abundance isn't about accumulation, it's about appreciation. Abundance isn't about hoarding, it's about flow. The more we share, whether it's kindness, time or resources, the more we align with the energy of abundance. Let go of scarcity and watch new opportunities come your way. It requires trust. Life unfolds in ways we can't always predict, but when we embrace the unknown, we open ourselves to incredible possibilities. You don't have to chase abundance, it's already here. When we slow down, appreciate the present and share what we have, we realize that life itself is abundant.
Gratitude changes everything when we focus on what we're thankful for we start to see just how much we have. Play with this simple gratitude + presence exercise...:
Find a Quiet Space – Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Close your eyes if it helps you focus.
Take Deep Breaths, known as Psychological Sighs – Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose for four seconds, take another sip of air in, then exhale slowly and fully through your mouth for six seconds or until your lungs are empty. Repeat this three to five times.
Acknowledge the Present Moment – Notice your surroundings, the feeling of your body, and your breath. Accept things just as they are without judgment.
Reflect on Three Things You're Grateful For – They can be simple (e.g., “I’m grateful for my warm bed” or “I’m thankful for my friend’s kindness”. Feel the warmth of gratitude as you think about them.
Smile Gently – Even a small smile can shift your mood and reinforce a sense of contentment.
Affirm Contentment – Silently say to yourself:
“I have enough, and I am enough.”
“I appreciate what I have right now.”
“In this moment, all is well.”
Sit With the Feeling – Stay with this peaceful sensation for another minute before gently opening your eyes.
This can be done anytime you need a reset or want to cultivate more contentment in your daily life.
